If you were hurt
Injured in a crash that wasn't your fault? How it works in Ireland.
Get medical help first and keep a record of everything. The injury and the car are two separate claims. Most injury claims go to the Injuries Resolution Board first, and there is a two-year time limit, so consider talking to a solicitor of your own choosing. The car is the part we handle, so you have one less thing to deal with.
1. Get medical help first
If anyone is hurt at the scene, call 999 or 112. Afterwards, see your GP or go to an emergency department, even if you feel fine at first.
2. Keep a record
Keep your appointment letters, prescriptions and receipts, and write down how the injury affects your day: work missed, things you could not do. Keep the photos you took at the scene and the other driver's details.
3. The injury claim goes its own way
Before they can go to court, most personal injuries claims in Ireland must first go through the Injuries Resolution Board. There is a time limit: two years from the date of the accident or injury. You should consider getting legal advice to understand your options.

4. Choose your own solicitor
The choice of solicitor is always yours. The Law Society of Ireland lists practising solicitors. Tell your solicitor that the damage to your car is being handled separately, so the two fit together.
5. Leave the car to us
A claim for damage to your car on its own does not go through the Injuries Resolution Board. That is the part we take on: an independent assessment, the repair, a replacement car where you need one, and every call and letter to the other driver's insurer. There is no upfront cost, and everything is in writing before you sign.

What we do not do
We do not handle injury claims, we do not give legal advice, and we do not promise an outcome. If you are unsure about anything to do with an injury, speak to a solicitor or to your doctor.
Car damaged as well? Ring 0818 294 336, any hour, or WhatsApp 083 448 3732. Our service is for crashes where the other driver is identified, insured and at fault. Still tell your own insurer about the accident: telling them is not claiming from them.
